Amman, Jordan – (December 2009) – The American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan (AmCham-Jordan) and the Information Technology Association of Jordan (Int@j) partnered with Google to offer the “Google Advertising Professional Program” (GAP) for the first time in Amman. The program was held on December 13-14 at the Sheraton Amman Al Nabil Hotel & Towers it was attended by more than fifty Jordanian professionals, and internet was provided by Mada communications. “GAP” is designed for companies that want to manage multiple online advertising campaigns and channel their ads to the appropriate audience.
The program was a success and attendees left with a good understanding of how the AdWords system works, how online campaigns should be structured, and how keyword lists and ads are developed. An online exam will follow the course and those who pass will participate in an online challenge for up to 90 days where attendees will apply the knowledge gained from training to manage and maintain an online ad campaign for that time period.
AmCham-Jordan is a voluntary non-profit member-based organization that contributes to economic development through the promotion of Jordan-US regional trade and investment, business development, public policy advocacy, human resources development, and business community outreach. The Organization officially became a member of the United States Chamber of Commerce in April 2004, thus becoming Jordan’s first and only American Chamber of Commerce.
Int@j is a voluntary non-profit, private organization representing, promoting and advancing the Jordanian software and IT services industry in the global market. As an industry-support association membership is open to all companies operating in Jordan in the fields of software development, support, application, telecommunications, value-added assembly and distribution of ICT products and services, and is also open to the suppliers and users of these industries, along with universities and other parties supporting ICT training and promotion.
