The Information Communications Technology Association of Jordan - Int@j, held a reception to welcome the new Minister of ICT H.E. Eng. Basem Rousan to his new post. The event took place on Wednesday November 23rd, 2011 at the Sheraton Hotel-Amman and was sponsored by Umniah.
The event was attended by H.E. Eng. Basem Rousan and majority of int@j members and partners. Mr. Mohammad Tahboub, Chairman of int@j welcomed all attendees and highlighted H.E. Atef Al-Tal achievements as a former Minister of ICT in improving and further developing the ICT sector.
Mr. Tahboub also welcomed H.E. Eng. Basem Rousan to his new post, and stressed on the importance of solving key issues in the sector and further advancing the industry.
H.E. Basem Rousan added “We will focus on further advancing and growing the ICT sector”.
The Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan is an ICT and ICTES industry-support association founded in 2000 with the aim of improving the dynamics of Jordan's ICT & ICTES markets and developing the Kingdom's ICT & ICTES related activities, and includes more than 210 local and global companies working in IT, Telecom, and IT enabled services (Outsourcing).
Since its establishment, Int@j has been exerting a high effort level aiming at advancing the Jordanian ICT & ICTES sector. Int@j has been looking for various partnerships with different institutions on the local, regional and international levels aiming at creating better ICT and ICTES industry in Jordan, increasing the awareness of ICT and ICTES services and products and stressing on the benefits of integrating ICT and ICTES in other sectors.
