(Amman – October 17th 2011) The information and communication technology association of Jordan – int@j conducted a cloud computing conference on the 17th of October 2011 which took place at the Sheraton Hotel – Amman; the conference was sponsored by Zain, DAMAMAX, Umniah, and EMC with their partner Intracom.
The event was the first local premier event about Cloud Computing in Jordan, focusing on introducing practical knowledge, experiences, and demonstrating number of real case success stories and specialists’ recommendations, in addition to presenting an overview of the ‘Cloud Computing’ concept and its Applications, models, challenges and implementation guidelines applicable to the regional climate, highlighting related opportunities and areas of focus.
The Cloud Computing Conference was attended by Technical Managers, CTOs, CIOs and individuals that frequently make decisions at technical strategic level.
The event featured a rich content and an enlightening agenda that encompasses vital current and future issues related to Cloud Computing models, challenges and opportunities. Cloud Computing is highly relevant to the local and regional climate, thus providing the ICT and business community, and stakeholders with a holistic overview of the cloud computing current position, opportunities at hand, and recommended approaches to capitalize on those.
Rich content was presented by experts from leader companies in the field of cloud computing, such as Oracle, Cisco, Microsoft and EMC in addition to MenaITech, Zain and Umniah.
The Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan is an ICT and ICTES industry-support association founded in 2000 with the aim of improving the dynamics of Jordan's ICT & ICTES markets and developing the Kingdom's ICT & ICTES related activities, and includes more than 210 local and global companies working in IT, Telecom, and IT enabled services (Outsourcing).
Since its establishment, Int@j has been exerting a high effort level aiming at advancing the Jordanian ICT & ICTES sector.
